1 sign used during student vigil on December 3rd, 2022. Donor description: "Wulongmuqi Rd Sign, cardboard, spraypaint, tape On 24 November 2022, a fire broke out in an apartment building in a Uyghur neighbourhood of Urumqi, and the tenants were unable to evacuate due to the harsh lockdowns and other anti-Covid-19 measures. Self organized vigil and protests happened in multiple locations across China, including at Wulongmuqi Rd. in Shanghai. The sign was created as a replica for the same road sign in Shanghai, which was officially removed by the government as a response to protests. This sign was created for student vigil held on Dec 3rd, 2022, where students gave speeches and shared personal experiences with the lockdown and political space in China."
